You've probably noticed that several of our Global Teas holiday gift packages include a bag of CiCi's Italian Butterhorns. And if you're like me, you may have never heard of Italian Butterhorns before. It was only recently that I was told about Christine and her amazing Butterhorns, and then the day came that I actually tried them....
Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, full of rich cinnamon flavor...I was wowed! They were the perfect complement to my steaming cup of tea and I knew I had to share this made-in-heaven combination with you!
CiCi's Italian Butterhorns are made by a wonderful Bay Area women named Christine Falatico Frey, whose delicious Butterhorn recipe was passed on to her by her Nana. Each bag is handmade in small batches with only the finest ingredients. I could never describe CiCi's Italian Butterhorns to you in a way that would do them justice, so here is Christine's description of these divine treats:
"These hand rolled Italian cookies are made from a light buttery dough and filled with cinnamon, sugar and walnuts. The rolled technique keeps the cookie center soft and caramelized during baking while the outer shell turns to a flaky golden brown."
Are you drooling yet? Trust me, you definitely want to get bag of these in your gift order (and you should probably gift some to yourself as well). My only warning is, once you've had them, you probably won't be able to stop craving them. :)
